FM Solid State
Transmitter EK5000

The E5000C
solid state amplifier meets all the needs of the user:
modularity, ease and economy of maintenance, greatly
reduced size and weight, ease of installation in any site,
even when space is limited, low purchase and running
costs, reliability. Realising these goals has been made
possible through an innovative design and the use of
advanced CAD technology.
Modularity:
the amplifier is composed of 10 easily extractable 500W RF
units
- Ease of
maintenance :
all parts are easily accessible via the front panel(RF
modules, electronuic control boards) or via the rear
panel (fans, combiners)
- Greatly reduced
size and weight: the whole amplifier is
contained in a 20-unit rack that also has space for
the exciter
- Low purchasing and
running costs: a series of judicious design
choices has enabled the initial cost of the unit to
be as close as possible to that of a unit using tube
technology- a prime design aim. The high efficiency
(over 70% for the RF stage at 98MHz) and the high
power gain (150W input per 5000W output) result in
low energy consumption
- Reliability:
the modular architecture, the over-specified
ventilation, the use of parts already well-proven in
other products, all combine to ensure the E5000C
maintains output even in extreme conditions or in
the case of partial failure
In addition to these
benefits, the E5000C features a
microprocessor that controls protections, display of
operational parameters on a liquid crystal display
and communications via the GSM modem for remote
control and telemetry.
